Through the forests of the Boerskotten you go to the former Twente Air Base, where you cycle past hangars and over runways to the new “gold coast” of Enschede. You cycle through several parks to the Oude Markt in the center of Enschede. Via the 'museum mile' you reach Roombeek, which rose from the ashes of the fireworks disaster. A rail cycle path takes you to Lonneker. You then follow the meandering Dinkel for some time. After Losser you reach the Arboretum Poort Bulten via a beautiful cycle path, which is only a few kilometers from the Wilmersberg. After Lonneker you can also cycle back to the Wilmersberg via a shorter route.
