Today's route places more emphasis on the layout of the cities. You cycle through the Rigtersbleek district, the GJ van Heek and the Ledeboerpark to the only campus university in the Netherlands, the University of Twente. Then you descend to the Grolsch Veste, where you cycle via the F35, a real bicycle highway, to the garden village Het Lansink in Hengelo. On the other side of the Twente Canal you cycle via the Boekelose Steam Bleaching Factory back to Enschede, where you cycle another round through the garden village of Pathmos. After the garden village of Het Lansink, an additional loop can be made, in which you cycle via the extensive Twickel estate (with castle garden, orangery and museum farm) to the watermill in Oele.
