You cycle along the busy Dokkumer Grootdiep in the summer to the Lauwersmeer National Park. You ride along beautiful cycle paths through this extensive nature reserve to the former fishing village of Zoutkamp, ​​with the Fisheries Museum in the old inner harbor. Then you pass through Houwerzijl, with the only tea museum in the Netherlands. You cycle back to Groningen via the circular village of Niehove, which was chosen as the most beautiful village in the Netherlands by Elsevier in 2019.
