You cycle along the Amstel and Waver rivers through the beautiful peat polder to the fortified town of Weesp. Following the meandering river Vecht you arrive in Muiden. Here you can visit, among other things, the medieval Muiderslot. You cycle across the shore of the IJmeer (formerly Zuiderzee) to the Amsterdam new-build district IJburg. This district is built on artificial islands. After crossing the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, you return to the city center via architecturally interesting neighborhoods from the 19th century.
