You cycle to the centuries-old Hanseatic city of Zutphen located on the IJssel. Its distinguished appearance is determined from afar by the many towers. The attractive city center has winding streets, squares, courtyards and numerous monuments. The Stedelijk Museum tells you about the history of Zutphen and De Graafschap. Worth seeing are the St. Walburg Church with the Librije, the Nieuwstadskerk and parts of the city walls with a water gate over the Berkel. The route can be extended with a loop through the bird and flower-rich floodplains of the IJssel, which you cross by ferry.
