Experience Italy in Twente too

Now that a cycling tour in Italy is not obvious due to the corona vicissitudes, Laurens Onderweegs has thought: what is possible in Italy, is also possible in Twente, the home base of 'Onderweegs in Italy'.
This has been excellently developed and has far exceeded our expectations.

Over the past 3 years we have made several tours in Italy.
And it turns out: everything we were used to on our previous trips to Italy, we also experienced in Twente.

The route through Twente was again a multi-day trek. And it was beautiful again. The tour was largely on cycle paths, with beautiful and varied landscapes and unexpected sights. Every day there was a good route description (also on GPX) with tourist information.

The further organization was also perfect. The overnight stays were good, including a stay in a (fortunately) former prison.
The receptions there were always warm. In the morning you could leave the luggage again and later you would find it at the next overnight stay.

Unlike in Italy, you were given a lunch with every departure from an overnight stay (oii: not included in 2021); it was always surprising, enough and good.

Dinner was always included. We have never been disappointed in that either. We were looking forward to it.

We rode the long tour every day. This made the day well filled. There was time to enjoy the landscape, a cup of coffee or a moment of rest along the way.

In short: Twente surprised us very positively.
Anyone who wants to see, feel and experience Twente by bike should do this multi-day tour.
